ambassadors of rock! YEA!

so today was the day of the long-awaited HEAVEN n HELL concert!
woke up pretty early, studied chinese and watched the simpsons halloween special marathon. so funny!' changed into my metal clothes and took my metal keys and left my metal house to meet another metal fan elman. >.<>
and down again after 10 minutes or so cos elman was feeling thirsty and needed a drink. tsk. troublesome! just kidding XD. we got into the concert area pretty early so we sat around and talked about life a little. hyped each other up for the concert. Woo! i got a rough idea of the metal community of singapore and i'm happy to say it's pretty big! there were young children from the age of about 10 to the aged with long hair! XDthey were selling HEAVEN n HELL tshirts! and black sabbath and megadeth posters! but i didnt bring enough cash so sadly didn't buy any souvenirs home. nvm! i still got the photos :D

singaporeans and lateness. tsk. late for wedding and late for metal concerts. the concert, which was supposed to start at 800 started at 830. but those who were already there, including me and elman were already crowding around the stage and tapping to the songs being played. haha! the ambiance and mood was so great! everyone was nodding to the rhythm! and when the song Aces High by Iron Maiden was played 2 or 3 songs before the concert proper and almost everyone start singing along!
LIVE TO FLY!
FLY TO LIVE! ACES HIIIGH! haha!

then the concert proper started and the whole place shook due to the amazing amps and bass! i could literally feel myself vibrating! and it was so shiok! haha :D the songs were great though i admit that i'm a black sabbath newbie and haven't listened to them alot. actually, to say great is an understatement. more of a wowie amazingly omg-ly great. lol!

awesome lighting of the stage!

i think they were playing dying young. \m/

my personal fave songs were voodoo, dying young and that last song they played when the crowd shouted MORE MORE, which i couldnt really catch. YES! they actually came back on stage in the hot night to play just 1 last song for singapore! yea! me and elman were headbanging like mad people cos they were so great! the 2nd last song, heaven and hell, that they played however didn't make it into my fave list. cos it was too amazingly nice. more like love list. HAA! ok im crapping.

getting in the mood! YEA!

the song heaven n hell was a pretty long song which the crowd (including me :D) kept singing along to as they played. everyone was going crazy, headbanging, shouting, whistling. and there were these parts where the whole stage went black except a red light shining on the vocalist's face and his voice suddenly turns uber demoning. the crowd went wild! and no, not out of fear! out of sheer Ecstasy! i think i almost wet my pants at this point. lol XD

other than the songs there were 2 long solos. one, by tommi iommi (guitarist) and the other by
vinny appice (drummer). they were left alone on the stage while the rest took a short break. everyone just went quieter and looked in awe and respect. their skills, after years of practice are amazing!

guitar solo by tommi

so now, im back here in this boring life with OP and chinese As. with a slight neck sprain and a ringing noise in my ear. well the concert was worth these and a whopping $112 so i'm pretty satisfied. ok off to take a break. end post.

next concert i'm going to save up for: dream theater! and iron maiden or metallica if they come. :D
